Shift At Midnight Night 6 Walkthrough — Emote Scope, Forest Limbs, and the Tall Shadow
Read both counter notes, use the Emote Scope as one layer of evidence, enter the forest with a trash bag, flashlight, and melee weapon, collect all 15 limbs, then freeze the tall shadow by looking at it and lure it into a prepared trap by looking away.
Night 6 introduces the Emote Scope, sends you into the forest to recover 15 limbs, and may end with the tall black creature described in the N.E.T. warning. Customer identities and their order can change between runs, but the tool limits, forest objective, and shadow mechanics below remain stable.
Start-of-shift intelligence
N6-M01 — Read the Emote Scope note before serving anyone
The yellow counter note explains the device precisely: it reads a customer's current emotion and opens a matching question. The reading itself is accurate, but some doppelgangers can imitate ordinary human emotions. You may only receive the expensive rental on occasional shifts, so learn the rule now rather than treating the device as an automatic human detector.

N6-M02 — Memorize the tall-shadow warning
Open the N.E.T. message on the computer before the queue distracts you. The tall black creature is extremely fast and strong. Looking directly at it freezes it in place, but the frozen creature is immune to all damage. It can only be hurt while it is not being observed, and the notice explicitly requires traps to be prepared in advance.

N6-M03 — Scan emotion, then ask the unlocked question
Point the device at the customer until the reading appears, then use the new emotion question. An impossible result is decisive. In one verified run, Ramona's reading was Craving Human Flesh; the final report confirmed that she was a doppelganger and named that exact Emote Scope result as the reason.

N6-O01 — Check the notice board for a run-specific headline
The nightly newspaper is not identical in every run, and one verified Night 6 run did not show a new notice at all. If a headline is present, read it and apply only the version visible in your shift. Treat it as another fact layer, never as a story to memorize from a previous playthrough.

Run every customer through the full evidence loop
Use this order even when the queue becomes busy: ID scan → exact database record → portrait and physical traits → occupation and relationships → nightly fact → Emote Scope → decision. The examples below demonstrate contradiction types; names and identities can be randomized.
N6-M04 — Inspect both the driver and the vehicle for fuel purchases
When a customer asks for gas, walk outside and inspect the vehicle instead of approving from the counter. Compare the registration, color, model, plate, modifications, and any ownership explanation with the displayed record. Complete the pump transaction only after both the person and vehicle survive their separate checks.

N6-O02 — Buy the survival items before the scripted interruption
Open the Shop tab while the store is quiet. Prioritize traps and a melee weapon; extra health and a firearm are useful only after the required tools are covered. The sledgehammer is particularly valuable because the forest threat is called out as vulnerable to melee weapons, while the tall shadow needs a trap before any attack window exists.

N6-M05 — Do not turn covered evidence into a mismatch
A bandage, hat, or sleeve can hide a trait that the record says should exist. That is not the same as seeing the wrong trait. In one run, Morris's record listed a scar on the left ear and his bandage covered that exact area; shooting him because the scar could not be seen killed a human. Ask why the area is covered and look for an actual contradiction before firing.

N6-M06 — Search every named relative and compare the relationship
If a customer mentions a child, sibling, spouse, or coworker, search that person's full name as well. Lisa claimed Mia was her twin sister, but the related database records showed that Mia was younger. The customer report later identified that age relationship as the lie. A matching surname is not enough; compare dates of birth, occupations, and the precise relationship claim.

Forest cleanup assignment
N6-M07 — Answer the manager and stop the customer queue
The manager calls about a powerful smell behind the store and orders you to remove a large number of limbs scattered through the forest. He also warns that something is moving among the trees and does not want to be seen. When the objective changes to Head to the forest behind the store, finish the active interaction and switch immediately to field preparation.

N6-M08 — Carry a trash bag, flashlight, and melee weapon
Take one trash bag for the remains, a flashlight for the dark paths, and the sledgehammer or another purchased melee weapon for the forest stalker. Leave at least one inventory slot free. If the game reports that your inventory is full, return to the store and drop a nonessential item rather than searching the woods unable to collect anything.

N6-M09 — Strike the roaming forest threat with melee
The figure between the trees can be difficult to see in the flashlight beam. Keep the melee weapon selected while moving between remains, listen for movement, and swing when the silhouette closes in. The assignment prompt identifies melee as the correct answer; wasting firearm ammunition does not replace the required close-range tool.

N6-M10 — Sweep the forest until the counter reaches 15 of 15
Use a deliberate loop around the trees, rocks, and barrels instead of crisscrossing randomly. Keep the flashlight low enough to catch the pale limbs in the grass, use the trash-bag interaction on each one, and watch the objective counter after every pickup. Do not return to the store at 14/15; the last piece may sit at the edge of the route or close to a trunk.

N6-M11 — Confirm Objective Complete before returning
The forest task ends only when the green Objective Complete banner appears. Once it does, retrace the path to the back gate and resume the customer queue. A completed bag is no longer a reason to remain in the woods.

Finish the customer queue
N6-M12 — Test occupation stories literally
Listen for claims about what the customer did during a work shift, then compare that work with the occupation field. A verified doppelganger claimed to have spent a late shift rebuilding a car's carburetors, engine, and exhaust system while the database listed her as a computer engineer. Do not reject a harmless hobby automatically, but do reject a direct work-history claim that conflicts with the verified job.

N6-M13 — Let normal emotions support, not replace, the record
An ordinary reading such as Flirty, Tired, or Exhausted can agree with the conversation, but it cannot clear the customer by itself. Continue through the portrait, age, occupation, traits, and relationship checks. The scope warning exists because a doppelganger may reproduce a believable emotion.

Tall-shadow defense
N6-M14 — Drop routine work at the 60-second alert
If one or more doppelgangers were admitted, the store can turn red and announce that the entity will arrive in 60 seconds. Stop mopping, shopping, and restocking. Use every remaining second to collect weapons, place traps, and control the entrances.

N6-M15 — Place traps on a route the shadow must cross
Set traps before the countdown ends, ideally along a clear aisle or entrance approach where you can see the creature from a safe distance. Barricade an exterior door if planks are available, then equip a weapon. Confirm the trap is fully placed; carrying one in your inventory does nothing when the attack begins.

N6-M16 — Control movement with your camera
When the tall shadow enters, face it to freeze its advance. Do not unload ammunition while staring at it: direct observation makes it invincible. Instead, line it up with the trap, glance away long enough for it to move forward, then look back to halt it and correct the route. Repeat in short, controlled intervals rather than turning your back for several seconds.

N6-M17 — Attack during the trapped, unobserved window
Once the creature hits the trap, use the immobilized opening to deal damage. If it breaks free, return immediately to the observation rhythm and route it into another prepared trap. Extra accepted doppelgangers can produce additional enemies, so keep a second weapon or grenade ready and never assume the first health bar ends the encounter.

Close Night 6
N6-M18 — Clean every battle mess and board the bus
After the threat is gone, the objective changes to Your shift is done. Mop blood, bag remaining body parts, and finish important shelf restocks so the store rating does not fall. Then use the marked bus; do not mistake a vehicle waiting outside for proof that cleanup is already complete.

N6-O03 — Read the earnings screen instead of rushing past it
Check revenue, mistakes, and optional earnings before continuing. A completed night can still contain a human casualty or several missed doppelgangers, and the total tells you whether the customer loop or store upkeep needs correction on Night 7.

N6-M19 — Pay the three-day medicine bill
The post-shift event presents the next three days of medicine for your chosen companion. Paying costs $40 in the verified runs and improves the companion enough to join the next shift. Protect that reserve when buying decorations and optional shop refreshes earlier in the night.

N6-M20 — Audit every decision in the customer report
The report is the final authority for that run. It can confirm an impossible scope result, expose a false relationship, identify a work-history contradiction, or reveal that a covered trait belonged to a human. Write down the reason attached to each mistake and carry that evidence type into the next shift instead of memorizing whether a recurring face was human this time.

Night 6 failure recovery
- The scope showed a normal emotion but the customer was a doppelganger: the note warns that human emotion can be imitated; restore the database, trait, relationship, and nightly-fact checks.
- You killed a customer with a covered scar: hidden evidence is not contradictory evidence. Ask about the covering and reject only when another fact fails.
- The forest counter is stuck below 15: retrace the outer edge, scan around tree bases and barrels, and keep the flashlight on the ground.
- You cannot pick up a limb: free one inventory slot and confirm that a trash bag is selected.
- The shadow will not take damage: stop staring at it. Freeze it only to aim its route, then let it move into a trap and attack during the vulnerable interval.
- More than one enemy arrived: this can follow multiple admitted doppelgangers. Preserve secondary weapons and do not spend every trap on the first target.
